The respiratory quotient for a person taking pure glucose as food source is how much?
The answer is 1.
Check this link for a detailed explanation
http://www.tiem.utk.edu/~gross/bioed/webmodules/respiratoryquotient.html

Manifestation of neurofibroma I ?
http://www.webmd.com/hw/raising_a_family/nord3.asp

Where the ulnar nerve is easily injured?
Elbow

What's posterior to azygos vein?
Thoracic vertebrae – not sure!

Nerve supply to facial mucosa of lower ant. teeth
Buccal branch of mandibular division of Trigeminal nerve

Nerve supply to facial mucosa of mandibular posterior teeth
Buccal branch of mandibular division of Trigeminal nerve

Fluorodeoxyuridine inhibits what?

Pyrimidine antagonist (used in cancer chemotherapy).

Organism tested routinely by sanitation inspections for purity levels. in water
E.coli

what is the TH1 and TH2 markers in lymphocytes?
Here’s some info on TH1, TH2 markers (http://www.bdbiosciences.com/pharmingen/products/display_product.php?keyID=108)
Cytokines are the hormonal messengers responsible for most of the biological effects in the immune system, such as cell-mediated immunity and allergic type responses. T lymphocytes are a major source of cytokines. T lymphocytes expressing CD4 are also known as helper T cells, and these are regarded as being the most prolific cytokine producers. This subset can be further subdivided into Th1 and Th2, and the cytokines they produce are known as Th1-type cytokines and Th2-type cytokines.

TH1 markers: characterized by the production of pro-inflammatory cytokines like IFN-γ, IL-2, and TNF-β. Th1 cells are involved in cell-mediated immunity.

TH2 markers: characterized by the production of IL-4, IL-5, IL-9, and IL-13. Th2 cells are thought to play a role in allergy responses.

What structure causes the buccal vestibule to decrease in size when the jaw is opened wide: Condyle, coronoid/hamular/ styloid process??
I think coronoid process (correct me if I’m worng)

Osteocytic osteolysis
Parathyroid hormone causes osteocytic osteolysis.
It involves transfer of calcium from canalicular fluid into osteocytes, From the osteocytes, calcium is transferred via osteocyte syncytial processes to extracellular fluid. In this process, phosphate is not mobilized and there is no change in bone mass. It removes calcium from most recently from crystals.
This process is quicker than osteoclastic resorption.

Patient having normal glucose metabolism. whats the vCO2\ v O2?
Refer to the answer on respiratory quotient.

Bacteria that causes green pus?
Neisseria gonorrhoea/ Staphylococcus aureus (not sure which one of the 2 was an option in the MCQ)

Oncofetal antigens?
A gene product expressed only during fetal development and subsequently repressed that may be re-expressed by certain cancer cells.
Egs. Alpha - 1 - fetoprotein (AFP), Pancreatic Oncofetal antigen, Carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA).
↑AFP: primary liver cell carcinoma, ovarian and testicular tumors
↑CEA: colon cancer

Calculation of H+ concentration from given pH
pH = - Log(H+)
(H+) = 10 -pH

Just wanted to calrify that for Calculation of H+ concentration from given pH
pH = - Log(H+)
So (H+) = 10 raised to (-pH) ( It is NOT 10- pH)

the answer is pseudomonas

Fluorodeoxyuridine inhibits what?
It inhibits DNA synthesis by inhibition of elongation growth, also inhibits RNA synthease.
it is used in cancer treatment

genomic library:it consists of mRNA information.
