Inspite of reimbursement cuts, cardiology is still quite competitive in the US. So your chances of doing cardiology without an int med residency here are practically zero. However if u cd secure your own funding it may be possible to do a non acgme fellowship with a limited state license. If u cd do cardiology in India, it's quite easy to do specialties like EP here as they are not competitive. Another one would be heart failure. But without Int med training here you will have to wait almost 10 to 15 yrs before they let u take boards.

Thanks for the information., then what about gastroenterology..?? Is there a chance of gastroenterology fellowship.??

the answer is the same to all fellowships. You must redo the residency first.
