Hi , i'm a medical student from jordan , i want to do cardiology in USA , and i recently start studying for USMLE , actually i dont know what is the chance can i accepted in usa to do cardiology , what things increase my chance to get it ?

and i have a question that is when do i choose the cardiology fellowship ? i mean the choosing cardiology fellowship is from beginning ( before i do residency) or i choose it after finish the IM residency there ?!

if i do IM residency in Germany , then i want to do cardiology in usa , should i have usmle license ?!

and thanks in advance

I don't know answers to any of your questions other than the fact that you apply for the cardiology fellowship during/after your internal medicine residency, not before/simultaneously.

As noted above, Cardiology is a fellowship completed in the US after an Internal Medicine residency.

Yes. Assuming you need a visa to study in the US, the USMLEs are required for that visa. Most programs will also require an ECFMG certificate and many will prefer that you do your IM residency here in the US.

Cardiology is one of the most competitive IM specialties.
