1.The deep palmar arterial arch is formed primarily by the

  1. deep radial artery
  2. superficial radial artery
  3. ulnar artery
  4. anterior interosseous artery
  5. posterior interosseous artery
2.Loss of opposition of the thumb is a symptom associated with lesion of which nerve?

  1. radial
  2. ulnar
  3. musculocutaneous
  4. median
  5. posterior interosseous
1.. The answer is given as posterior interosseous artery (which is a br of ulnar artery).
But the deep palmar arterial arch is formed mainly from the terminal part of the radial artery, with the ulnar artery, contributing via its deep palmar branch.

plz someone clear my doubt...

2- i would prob put posterior interosseous only because if you were to lesion any of the other muscles you would have a loss in motor function other than just thumb opposition. but i guess if you wanted to knock out the nerve responsible for controlling most muscles associated with thumb opposition, lesion the median nerve.
