PLZ Help, How Can I Stop Checking SDN and Instead Study for the DAT??

The problem is that I am retaking the DAT and just tired of re-studying everything all over again because of a below avarage score in one of the sections. How do/did you guys stay motivated while studying for the DAT? I am just aggrevated that I am so addicted to SDN that I can't focus on studying for the DAT. Basically, I am defeating the purpose of the SDN by slacking off on studying. 😡

Please help 🙁.

ahhh...i'm in the same boat. the sol'n is to not let yourself on the internet...at all. it's hard for me since i have a crackberry. i'm doing stellar in brickbreaker. just broke 10k points y'day. as for studying...i think i did 20 pages. :-( not a record breaker.

ha, im in the same situation. Checking SDN to see how people did on the test instead of intense studying. I mean im getting stuff done but its at a much slower pace. I guess im probably also winding down my studying when I should just be at the height. Test Monday!

Study where there are NO computers.
usually if I'm NOT at home, I tend to study better.
Spend time at home = t.v., comp, a comfy nice bed
Campus/non-home place= best you can do is fall asleep on your face in your DAT stuff. Go somewhere where you won't have a comp around.

I sort of have the same issue on occasion. I use my computer as a 'reference.' No seriously, when I'm doing bio I frequently use wikipedia. Or when I am doing gen chem, i use my computer as a periodic table. I also have kaplan online course which is impossible to do without a comp. You should take advantage of sdn and try to challenge yourself with the questions other people ask on the dat forum. Sometimes, however, one can get carried away and fall into a vicious cycle...lol.

OK guys, thank you for your feedbacks. I am officially turing off my computer after being on for 4 months straight. All these culminate into this being my last post on SDN. Oh, I just remebered, I was going to start another thread on DAT: how much in advance do guys register for the DAT to ensure you get the date you are looking for?

Oh well, I might as well start a new thread and turn off my computer in three to seven days after I have read all the replies to my post.😳

wake up in the morning and decide how many times you will go online and for how long all together (like 1 hr for the whole day). pick what you want to look at online carefully and stick to this plan. it will keep u off SDN when theres other stuff to check. good luck
