WOW!! Shocking news. I meet him a few times and he was an extremely personable and intelligent physician. Truly a big loss of a rising star, like Jim McLean who passed away in a similar skiing accident in 2008.

I saw this on Sermo, and was shocked. He loved backcountry skiing though, and he was very aware that it was high risk. I had lunch with him at one of the US courses and we talked skiing. It was obvious that he knew the risks.

That stinks. He was a great guy and wonderful doc. He will be missed.

Whoa, I remember meeting him in Orlando. He was teaching our group about MSK ultrasound. Very nice (and knowledgeable) guy.
