I’m very thankful to already have two acceptances this early. I’d like to start narrowing things down as soon as I can. Would love to hear everyone’s thoughts on which program might be a better choice.

NoordaCOM
Pros:
  • Good match list for their first class
  • Dream location for me
  • The facilities are modern
  • Faculty and student relationships seem really positive from the students I have spoken to
  • Research seems to be much more emphasized here, which is important to me
  • The pod-based learning style fits my learning style well.
Cons:
  • No federal loans
  • Not as established, pass rates could be improved
  • For profit

PNWU
Pros:
  • More established
  • Federal loans
  • Pass/Fail
  • Focus on rural medicine, which does interest me
  • Had great interactions with faculty already
  • Cost of living on the lower end
Cons:
  • Research opportunities seem limited
  • Location leaves something to be desired for me
  • Pass rates seem a little low (maybe I am not taking something into account there)
