Is buying an anesthesia pocket reference book to have on me during residency (such as Pocket anesthesia by Urman and Ehrenfeld) worth it, or will it just sit in my locker? Are there any iphone apps that are better? Those of you that are in residency or just graduated any recommendations? Will be starting CA-1 in a few months.

Yes I feel Pocket Anesthesia would be an excellent book to review. It gives you the basics and to be honest, you could probably squeak by and pass your boards if you knew that book cold plus did some questions. It's obviously a good idea to read more, but it's a great start! I kind of wish I had access to it in residency.
