Hey anyone ever notice, all POCs have blue eyes? What's up with that?

Down deep in everyone of us is there an Aryan trying to get out??
 
Hasn't it been known throughout history that all babies are born with blue eyes? Or am I misinformed?

What sucks is that we have a resident who grosses in all the POCs because he wants to do pediatric path and is doing some projects. And he is leaving this June so now we will have to do the POCs. When I did my PSF we freaked out the histotechs by putting an entire hand of a 14 week anencephalic into a cassette. When she had to cut it apparently she freaked out and considered taking the rest of the day off.

Yes, babies, at least Caucasian ones, are usually born with grey/blue eyes. I think it's pretty apparent by six months or so what the permanent color is going to be. That's pretty gross about the hand.

All I wanted to do was see what it looked like histologically. It was a good example to see a developing hand. Too bad people are hung up about it. Not like I dragged a baby off the street and cut off its hand to use.

Ack, burn this thread, we definitely dont need more hate or people thinking we are wierder than they already do!!
