Hi all,
I recently learned that an abstract I submitted was accepted for a podium presentation (1st author) at a large national conference. I've also recently submitted a manuscript for the same project (also as 1st author) to a journal's special edition issue and was told I'll hear back in about a month.
Are these substantial enough updates to send to medical schools right now? I'm a current applicant. I wonder if I should wait until after I hear about the manuscript's outcome (hopefully it gets accepted!) and/or after I actually do the podium presentation which is in a couple of months. My only fear is that if I wait I may already be rejected from schools that may have looked at me a little more closely if I had provided an earlier update.
Any thoughts or advice is appreciated. Thank you!
