Can anyone comment on OB/GYN and Pediatrics rotations at Pontiac Osteopathic Hospital? Which preceptors are good to work with? Also, how is the housing there?

Ob-Gyn is housed at St Joseph Mercy Oakland up the street - that is also where the residents go after their intern year (intern being split bewteen the two.)

Your preceptors are the attending group at SJMO and some private OBs who come in for their deliveries. I think there are eight residents in all years, and you will work quite a lot with them as well.

Hospital housing is, well, hospital housing. It's a bed and bath, free, for the month you're here, and of course, all the food you can hold. Which is a plus when you are traveling. I traveled pretty extensively fourth year and none of my hospitals offered housing or meals.

You will Staying at the famous....ELEPHANT HOUSE....kinda like the movie Animal House. But there are some nice clubs behind the elephant house.

How was working with the OB residents at SJMO? And what about the medicine rotations at POH? I'm trying to find different electives to do in MI and would appreciate any input.
