This poll addresses whether you've received an amount of interviews you expected going into the application process.

I was praying for one interview....I ended up getting 7!!!

Nice. I applied to 25 schools (took the August MCAT) and I've received 4 interview invites so far. With any luck, I'll interview at 8-10 schools and get into 2-4. Going in, I thought I'd get 4-5 interviews and 1-2 acceptances.

I was expecting 1/3 of my secondaries would yield interviews, so far 2/3 have yielded interviews.

I honestly think SDN is bad because most of the people on here are not normal and not your everyday pre-med. I have had 8 interviews, but after seeing everyone's ++++, I am glad that we do have a rejection thread because you think WHO AM I TO COMPETE WITH THEM. Yeah, but then I realize, patients are not going to care what you are (MD or DO) and they are only going to care about being treated fairly. I know that first hand. One of my relatives had to be rushed to the ER once, and the closest was a DO hospital, and I can honestly say the doctor their was wonderful. I really do get fed up with sterotypes, but a TRUE person, could care less where you got your diploma from. Therefore, all I want is an acceptance, which might have to wait to match day.
