Hi fellow SDNers, I have an important decision coming up very soon. I would greatly appreciate any feedback on which school is better. In case it matters: I am a Southern CA resident.

If anyone can comment on the quality of the Touro NV rotation sites, it would be really helpful too. Also, does anyone out there know if I will have the time to do an audition rotation in SoCal if I attend NSU?

All opinions are welcome and Super Appreciated.
 
I find it fascinating that no one has piped in yet. Most of SDN will automatically tell you to go to NSU. I'm interviewing in Henderson in 6 days, so I can't comment on it yet.

Can't tell you much about TUNV, but I attend NSU and will tell you that there is ample time to do an audition rotation in SoCal during your 4th year (you won't have electives during your 3rd-but believe it or not that's a good thing in a funny way).

There's a caveat though. You will have an assigned 2 months of rural rotations at some point during your 4th year, and there's a possibility that this time could fall during the period in which you do auditions, say late summer-fall of 4th year. Statistically, it's impossible for this to happen to most people as there are more months of the year that fall outside that timeframe, but it does happen.
 
Thanks for the replies.. Say that I do get unlucky and get stuck with a rural rotation early in my 4th year, would that affect me from doing an audition rotation before I would need to apply to the AOA match?

Have a good time interviewing, the faculty is really nice and the interview is rather low pressure.

That is a risk, yes.

N=1, my good buddy from high school -> college -> beyond absolutely hates Touro-NV. He's a 3rd year there and talks absolute trash about it lol. I forgot what he said specifically, but he's probably just stressed out.
