I hate the cold. I am in Tucson right now it is 80 degrees and I will be heading to the pool a little later.....that is the kind of december I like.

how about none. Majority are slave labor camps.

A little early for me too. I know my top 3 for sure (one of which I just interviewed and know it's gonna be either #2 or #3), but still have to see one more program to know which one of the other two i want as #1.

Same here - I have about 9 left

I'm right there with you, Sugar. Taking a Christmas Hike in the desert, working on my tan, wearing whatever I want (and not having to bundle up to go outside)...it's a beautiful thing! God Bless Arizona!

I'll be watching, but I imagine our sample size will be too small to derive any real prediction value. Q: If you know your top 5, have done 10 interviews, and don't expect to drop from 5, would you do 3 more that may crack the top 10?  :horns:

Wow, no love for baylor or ut-houston. Anybody else surprised by some programs that got goose egged?

You'd think judging from this poll that people like Hopkins. Either that or someone is voting multiple times!

I can't bring myself to vote yet. One more week and I will know. Yeah.

i'm suprised for Wake forest and UNC

i dont think the results of this poll is really all encompassing in regards to the applicant pool. also many have not decided yet. So it's prob too early to make that call.

DUDE, THIS IS MY MOM SPEAKING. You've APPLIED TO SO MANY PROGRAMS THAT MY MOM (catherine) WILL MATCH, EVEN THOUGH SHE IS RETIRED IN FLORIDA WITH NO ASPIRATIONS OF WORKING AGAIN. CONGRATS ON EXCEEDING THE CRITICAL MATCH NUMBER.

Wow, UAB is in 3rd place, I have my interview with them on jan 31st... now im really curious about the program!

Listened to some classic Easy-E from 1988 today.

Cast my vote above today. What a relief to be done with the decision-making.

I did not enjoy this process too much! :)

Alright guys...two more to break the 200 mark. So how many people have changed their mind since voting?

I did.
This poll represents >10% of applicants this year

Certified the rank list tonight with a different program than voted for here as number one - but that might all change by next weekend! I am really happy with any of my top 4, so Im not too stressed out. But after #4, I dont know what to do.

i've changed multiple times.

i think now it's:

Wake -> UAB -> UF -> MGH -> NYU -> Cornell -> Yale -> 7 other places most of which i would be happy with

you can change your list after you certify?

yup, just make sure you certify again once you made changes and it's all good.

What's the purpose of certifying before the 22nd? I've been avoiding that button like the plague, cause i thought it's irreversible. And my current draft seems to save once I log out. What does certifying do?

Just in case you wait till the last day and your internet connection is down, and then your car breaks down, and then you walk to the internet cafe and the city has a blackout, etc, etc, etc....or in case you just plain forget

 i see. . .

cool, i'm glad it's reversible.

Shoot. I go in and check my list daily and re-certify.

I know this is over-kill, but I love the feeling of pressing that certify button. You get an email after certification to confirm that it is done.

I voted on the new poll, but it could still all change 18 more days.

I am on my 2nd certified version already - but i think this is it. Although I did wake up in a cold sweat the other night after dreaming that god called me on my cell phone and told me I should be going into OB.

what kind of caller ID shows up for that?

i'd totally screen my calls if god was nagging me to go into OB. can ye mortal hear me now?
