Hey Guys,
I was wondering if someone could help me. Would Polycythemia cause kidney function to breakdown given the increased viscosity of blood? Would this be a common side effect/problem of Polycythemia? Thanks so much!

Well, there is a primary, secondary, and relative form of polychythemia.

Potential problems:
- shortness of breath
-dizziness
- itchy or flushed skin
- fatigue and headaches
- hands and feet may become blue and tender
- can develop abnormal blood clots...leads to stroke.
