How much would you trust or believe on a positive response that/if you get after an OMFS interview? Not saying my rank list will depend on it, but still would like to know views of other people.

I personally have had bad experiences with gauging what the responses after the interview means. On several a few occasions i felt like i had great responses both during and after the interview and at the end of the day nothing became of it. It seems like a lot of programs are now just telling candidates where they are ranking them and I know a lot of applicants are telling programs where they are ranking them as well.
With that said, if you really like a program and want to go there, tell them. Programs like to hear that and I don't think it can hurt your position. If nothing else, it keeps you on their radar.

Has anyone heard back from a program after their interview and had the program tell teh applicant where they plan on ranking them?

I believe MATCH does not allow revealing exact rank number. However programs can show special interest in an applicant or vice versa. And reason why I made this thread is how much to trust those comments/email that may show as an extra interest lol.
hmmmm. this worries me.. i interviewed at about a dozen omfs programs this year, and didn't get any e-mails/calls from programs after the fact..

3 this past week. I hear that they will roll in to everyone though. Take all with a grain of salt.

On the Pedo end of things, it doesn't seem like this new change is being followed much. Many applicants I've spoken to haven't even heard of the new policy and programs equally are not saying/advertising much. With that being said, I've heard back form one program indicating their opinion of me, however during the interview they informed us that would would get notified prior to the new year.
I fully agree that the Pedo world hasn't adopt this new change. I have not heard of anyone (including myself) that heard they were going to be ranked by a program ...wishing everyone the happiest New Year...and less than a month before match EEEEEEK!

I am getting worried after reading this thread because I haven't heard back from any program with an email/ call or them expressing interest. Does that mean I have no hope for OMS this year??
If you guys could post which schools have been replying back, it will be greatly appreciated. Also, is it a good idea to reach out to the programs to find out if they are ranking me or not? Will it make me look bad?? Advice please....

Those emails/calls will mean anything if they end up with a MATCH otherwise everything is still up in the air! Also, I doubt anyone would post specific names.
