So I submitted my AMCAS a couple weeks ago, but my last quarter's grades came out this week. AAMC won't allow me to edit my grades after the app has been submitted so I'm not sure what I should do. The only reason I am concerned is because one of the classes I took last quarter is a pre-req to most schools. Is there any way to have these new grades added or make a note of the classes completed?

thanks in advance.

In general, students in your situation contact schools directly. Often, a transcript with your new grades is directly sent to the schools of interest. Once the AMCAS is submitted, you no longer work through them regarding grades.

No need to be concerned, especially if you indicated on your AMCAS that the aforementioned courses are "current/future" courses. And plus, candidates are expected to complete pre-reqs by the time they matriculate, not by the time they apply (not true for EVERY school, but most).

Out of the schools I'm looking at, only Temple wanted them done before you applied. I'm sure there are more, but that's the only one I've personally run into it (and cannot apply too as a result, as I have no Orgo II yet).

If this is true, they must not be very strict about it. I applied without having taken the lab for organic chemistry II and everything was peachy.

This makes sense. I'd call the adcom and confirm if you could apply.

Vanderbilt told me I shouldn't apply because I wouldn't be able to take 2 English classes by the time I applied. I had AP credits for English for my school requirements but Vandy said they wouldn't take them.
