Hello,
By the time I will graduate I will have been in my current lab for 2.5 years. I will have completed 2-3 posters and an undergrad thesis but likely no pubs. My PI is a bit of a stickler for med school LOR's and will not write one for undergrads who have not published. This has only been maybe 2 undergrads out of probably 25 in the past 5 years. I'm likely not going to get a letter from him for this reason. Given my extensive lab experience and enjoyment I am planning on using my research as a most meaningful experience. Am I going to have a big red flag by having no LOR from my PI??
