So I have applied this cycle and am setting up a backup plan in case I need to reapply next year (I know its still early but I would like to have a backup plan in place before its too late and I dont know what I am to do before the new cycle). Below has all my info, with the red text being stuff that I recently sent to schools in an update (I told them I was planning on doing it in my secondaries but did an update to show I followed through). I would like some advice on what you think would be the weakest part of my app that would make the most significant difference. I am considering an MCAT retake but dont know if that would be as high of yield vs if I worked on my ECs.

I'm confused about your research- is the only one on the primary the case study plus few hours from your new gap year job?

Also just from my perspective, and not to discount it by any means, but your nonclinical volunteering seems to align with clinical very much so not sure if it's explicitly "non clinical." The new homeless one definitely is though

Yeah the non clinical and clinical can kinda be interchangeable. And I had no research experience prior to my gap year job except for the review paper which ended up being dropped. So I had no research on my primary, but I put my job on my update.

Maybe the lack of research led to the earlier rejections from the higher tier schools? I'm not sure, but probably cleveland clinic etc. type schools.

Also do you know if the schools you applied to average MCAT? That may also be a factor

I think only like 1-3 of them might. I know for sure that 1 does but its an IS public school.
