I went to a post bacc program and my post bacc GPA is a 3.7. My MCAT score is 507

What is your sGPA and cGPA including your undergraduate and post bacc courses? Which URM group do you belong to ? If Hispanic are you fluent in Spanish ? Do you have any physician shadowing hours or clinical volunteering or employment with patient contact ?

I’m African-American. I think even with my post bacc GPA my overall GPA is around a 2.6. Only fluent in English. I’m patients for roughly 6 months. I volunteered at a hospital and have over a 100 hours. I have 25 shadowing hours with a physician that wrote me a letter of recommendation.

You could receive interviews at some MD schools. If you are going to apply this year you should apply this month and submit all your secondaries by August. I suggest these schools:

You should also apply broadly to DO schools and should have more interviews at the DO schools. I suggest all these:

It would be a good idea to take additional science courses at a local college to increase your sGPA as much as possible in case you need to reapply next year. Your only weakness is your low GPA. You have a good MCAT score and EC's.
