Possible SMP & PostBacc

I'm sure there have been a number of threads posted about this if you can kindly direct me towards them, that'd be great

I graduated with a 2.9 cGPA and a 2.7 sGPA from UC Irvine. I want to know exactly what I can do to improve my chances of getting into medical school. I'm taking my MCATs this September and done a number of volunteering/research/clinical. I have no choice but to apply to a PostBacc or SMP.

I was wondering if any of you fine people out there know the best schools and/or programs to apply to. I don't have a lot of money to apply willy-nilly, therefore I want to apply to schools that will most likely accept me.

If you want to show you can handle upper-division coursework and potentially fix your undergrad GPA, I'd do a post-bacc. An SMP won't help your undergrad stats.

I also graduated from UCI as well, but moved up to Northern CA for the CSUEB post-bacc program (PHAP) for "academic enhancers". I was also accepted to CSULA's post-bacc, but I felt that CSUEB had more opportunities and better structure with professor advising, committee letters, workshops, and the weekly seminar. There's a huge post-bacc network of students up here which really helps.

CSUEB PHAP's minimum acceptance is a 2.8. I've been told that they usually request you take a least a quarter of Open University classes if you have anything below a 2.8 to show you can handle the course material.

After you attending CSUEB PostBacc program where did you apply to? If you don't mind can you briefly give me your timeline?

Also how was the program itself? Was it easy or difficult to bring up your grades? What kinds of classes did you have to take?

Finally, what do you know of Drexel's PostBacc program?

I have, but I was looking for statistics. Do these programs usually have a hard 3.0 cut off or are they a little bit more lenient? I was also hoping to find anyone has a first hand account of their experiences as well.
