Hi guys,

This may be a silly question...

Some people suggested that it would be good to do USMLEWorld questions twice if one has the time. I was wondering if the program allows you to do that, assuming you finished all the questions. For instance, I know that if you want to make a new test, you have to click the "unused" question button. But lets say you did all the questions, and want to start off fresh with new random sets of questions (repeated). Is it possible to do that? Does it recalculate your percentage scores?

Thanks!

No that is not allowed by Uworld because it would make it easy for another person to use your Uworld instead of buying your own. It sucks but that's business.

Oh wow. That stinks. So when people say they did USMLEW twice, does that mean they bought a new subscription to it?

Even though you won't be able to calculate actual scores when re-doing the questions, you can redo UWorld by selecting 'Used Q's'.

If you keep track of your percentages as you do each test - you can calculate your own average. But of course there may be some questions that are repeated from test to test.

You can go through the questions without repeats if you click one subject like anatomy then doing the questions organ system by organ system.

Not sure (since I didn't get through all of UWorld the first time), but I think this is the only way to do it if you want to keep doing 50 random "unused".

If you plan to go this route, then just pay for two subscriptions. I'm sure it'll still end up being cheaper than Kaplan Qbank. You could plan ahead (e.g. 50 Q's per day with 100-150 per on weekends), so you'd be able to finish most of it in 30 days.

1) You CAN use UW twice, and you do not need to buy another subscription for it. Just select "All" instead of "unused" questions when setting up your test (or you can select "marked", or "incorrect"... you get my drift🙂

2) I do not think they charge more as the step draws closer. In fact, I bought a 6/12 subscription 5 months ago, and they charge the same now: no more, no less.
