Good evening ladies and gentlemen,

I'm in a bit of predicament concerning Calculus. I took Calculus AB in high school (over 5 years ago), and passed with a 3. In college, I took Calculus 2 on a quarter system and completely and utterly flopped with an F. Unfortunately, I never got around to retaking it out of sheer fear for the course itself. Years later, I came to the realization that I need to admonish my demons and rectify this atrocious blemish on my record before applying to medical school.

I'm torn between two situations: taking Calculus 1 as a refresher and then retaking Calculus 2 but risk further damaging my GPA with multiple C's OR attempt to mitigate the damage by self-teaching myself the first third of Calculus and then retaking just Calculus 2 with the hopes of walking away with a single C or at best a B. Keep in mind that the Calculus i received an F in was part of a three course series (Calc I, II, III).

Moreover, would anyone know where I Would be able to take Calculus 2 online? my only local option offers it as a 5 unit semester course which is unnecessary and would definitely be overkill (this is kind of problematic as the Calc i need falls somewhere in between calculus I and II on a semester system) Thank you very much your assistance

I'm not sure you'll find too many medical schools that accept online pre-req credit.

Certainly possible to self teach, however.
