Hey all! The time has come to begin 2025-2026 postbac apps, and given how helpful the previous years' threads have been for me, I figured I'd start this to hopefully be a resource for current and future applicants. I'm working on BM, Goucher, JHU, and a handful of other schools on the east coast. Would love to hear where everybody else is applying!

Hi!! Going to apply to BM, Scripps, George Washington, Temple and a few other schools on the east coast for the starters. Excited to connect!

Curious if anyone has any input about this: when inputting current experiences, should I extrapolate hours to include future hours all the way to matriculation? The "end date" becomes optional if an experience is marked current, so I'm wondering whether or not I should leave it blank, or put an estimated future date and calculate hours accordingly

Anybody know if tourocom montana SMP application is on PostBacCAS. Couldn't find it

Current post bacc student - biggest piece of advice is to get your applications in early. Very few spots and by the time November/December comes around, many of the spots have been filled. Feel free to DM me with any questions and good luck!

Has anyone heard back from Bryn Mawr or Goucher yet? I applied over a week ago.

I was verified about a week ago, heard from Goucher but not BM
I am surprised that they are so fast! I heard Goucher screens pretty selectively so you should be set. How far do they schedule the next steps?

It took 1 week from when I submitted my PostbacCAS application to when Goucher emailed inviting me to interview.

My interview was slotted for ~2 weeks after. They also give you the opportunity to meet w/ current students and to observe a class; those were scheduled for about a week after my interview. Good luck!

Hi everyone! Wish you all success this postbacc cycle.

So far, I have applied to Goucher (R), BM (II), UVA (II), UPenn (II), and Thomas Jefferson (no response). Goucher and BM took about 2-3 weeks to respond to my initial application, while UVA and UPenn reached out to me about a week after applying.

Hi everyone! Although it is early in the cycle, schools are getting back to us surprisingly quickly. Unfortunately I didn't get a Goucher interview, but it was a reach anyway. I hope y'all got accepted!
BM did get back about an interview day - has anyone completed one this cycle and don't mind sharing their experience?

I will do the BM interview first then apply accordingly to to UVA, Scripps (procrastinating the supplementary essays), temple, BU. Fingers crossed

Congrats! BM was probably my chillest interview. Very conversational, everybody was super nice. Definitely know your app well, review everything about their program, listen to Dr. Cummings’ podcasts (they’re linked on his bio), and come with well-informed questions. Good luck!!

Glad I found this thread 🙂 Good luck everyone!

I actually just received an interview invite from Goucher (application on PostbacCAS was verified 5 days prior). My interview is scheduled for mid October. If anyone doesn't mind sharing, I'd love to hear any insight/advice from those who already interviewed with them!

Recently accepted to Bryn Mawr and Scripps and decided to commit to BM. Happy to answer any questions if people have!

Congrats! Can you share how long it took for you to hear back from BM after the interview and why you chose BM over Scripps?

BM I heard back in 4 days and Scripps I heard back in 2!
I chose BM for various reasons, I wanted to be close to family and friends in the east coast and after speaking with current students I think that I prefer a bigger cohort. Overall just comparing the interview day(s), the BM community was more for me.

Thanks for sharing and excited for you! I got accepted to Scripps and had an interview with BM. I also felt myself gravitating towards the BM culture/community more but the class size difference is pretty stark. I was wondering if one program director can truly get to know each student in a cohort of 60-70.

If anyone has experience with advising at these programs, please let me know 🙂

Hey!! Congrats 🙂 I have an interview with Scripps soon and was wondering if you had any advice?
My Scripps interview was with 3 people- each one asked questions about my experiences/ resume and all knew my application very well so just be able to speak beyond what was already said in your application. They also asked a few personality/ characteristic questions.

I was admitted to Goucher (10/2/24), UPenn Core Studies (10/4/24), Bryn Mawr (10/7/24), and JHU (10/8/24).

After my interviewer at Penn told me there's over 250 students across Core and Specialized Studies advised by a team of 6 people, I'm not feeling so inclined to go there. The current postbacs I've chatted with at Goucher, BM, and JHU all like their programs, cohorts, and advisors.

thank you~ I heard back after 1 week of applying to schedule an interview and 2 weeks after the interview with the decision. It's hard to cross any program off because of the rave reviews from students I talked to, but I'm liking JHU.

Yea, I don’t think I’ve seen anyone on these threads ever turn down Goucher/Brynmawr for Penn, Hopkins or any other post bacc for that matter.

I just heard from Bryn Mawr with an acceptance letter. They interviewed me on Monday so it was a quick turn around. Feel free to ask any questions!

Anyone with an interviews to Scripps, BM, and Goucher mind sharing some interview experiences? 😊

I'm currently deciding between BM and Goucher. From my interviews and conversations with current students, I don't see a stronger cultural fit with one over the other. I'm very interested in linking and I'm aware that BM has more linkage agreements, but I'm not factoring this into account since I'm not set on a program that only has an agreement with BM. I'm leaning towards Goucher due to the smaller class size but is anyone else going through the same decision making process? Are there other key factors I should be considering? Thank you!

Accepted to Thomas Jefferson P4 (1 year track) and University of Virginia. Waitlisted at BM. Has anyone committed to TJ or UVA yet? Need help picking between them 🙂

How long did it take for everyone to get invites after getting your apps verified?

I was accepted to Temple and GW for their career changer pre med tracks. I am having a hard time deciding which is better. Which would you choose? Which is better? Please help

Has anybody heard from UPenn, Bryn Mawr, Umich, or Tufts recently? It's been over 2 weeks for me and it has been very quiet

Hi! How were the BM and UVA interviews? Were they pretty conversational? All three of those programs are awesome, congrats!

Hi! How was the interview? For the most part I’ve read it was more conversational from previous years, but I was wondering if it changed at all. Thanks! Congrats on your acceptance 🙂

They were both very conversational! BM brought up my ACT scores (from 10 years ago) and stated they are on the lower end than what they usually accept but that the rest of my app sounded like a great fit (I'm assuming that's why I was placed on the waitlist haha). UVA was great - I went in person and all 3 interviewers just seemed like they wanted to get to know me personally and understand my motivations for pursuing a postbacc. Ultimately I chose TJ. 🙂

Anyone going to Scripps next year? I’ll be going and was just hoping to connect if you’re up for it! 🙂

Got accepted to Bryn Mawr and Goucher! Can someone explain the federal loan coverage to me? I've heard it covers 100% of Goucher but only 1/2 of Bryn Mawr which confuses me

The timeline of when you applied; interviewed; and got decision is very helpful.
For those of you who got acceptances/multiples, it would be super helpful to know your stats (UG School, UG GPA, GRE Score, Experience, etc.).
Would you be willing to share?

Is there any site that lists medical schools and which PB programs they have linkage agreements with?
And what the requirements are to successfully link?

Hi! How long does it take to typically hear back from BM, Goucher, UVA, GW, Temple etc. / has anyone heard back from them recently? I applied a couple of weeks ago and am feeling antsy.

Took a few weeks to hear back from BM and it was my alma mater! Goucher was sooner, but I understand your anxiety. They were both closed for winter break, so take that into account!

That's super helpful - thank you so much! Do you know if schools typically send interview invites / rejections at the same time, or do they send interview notifications first? I'm scared of getting ghosted haha
