Value, let me tell u about the post-bac program @ ucsf.
It's the best program and the only thing like that in the country.
To qualify:
1. you have to be an unsuccessful applicant. To prove this, show that you've applied and be denied from at least 1 dental school in the past.
2. Your chance is greatly increased if you have a good DAT score, an interview from any dental school and then got rejected. Research is a positive sign too.
3. YOu have to come from a disadvantaged background, doesn't matter when that disadvantaged happened, as long as it affected your education performance.
4. You have an awesome DAT scores, so if u join the post-bac at ucsf, u won't have to retake the DAT. You can spend all your time taking graduate level classes (hard core sciences) at SFSU.
5. If u think u can be successful on your own, you don't need to join the post-bac program, just get some more dental experience, take post-bac classes @ SFSU. Then apply next year. Their Spring semester started on Jan 1/28, still enough time for u to apply. Just take 2 or 3 hard core science classes in the spring, 1 more in the summer. And send in your application on the first of June, be sure to select only schools that care for DAT scores, you'll be in d-school in no time.
PM me if u have any question.
