I wanna take anatomy and physiology at community college cause its way cheaper and I am paying out of pocket, plus it allows me to apply to more dental schools. However, all the classes are full and there is a huge chance I might not get the class. I am debating whether to take it at my local state college which would be 1k of my own money for just one class or wait till summer. I am trying to boost up my gpa to be more competitive, but I feel like I am taking a bunch of bs science classes to boost up my gpa. Should I continue taking random science classes (human anatomy/ physiology plus other science classes) or take this semester off and just spend more of my time on DAT and working? So far I took one semester of classes.

I'm not too sure if A&P should be considered as a bs class...regardless you should look into whether or not some schools are okay with cc A&P

Seems like almost every school I applied too had anatomy/physio as a pre req

Hmm.. I kind of don't know what to do right now. I wanna take anatomy and physio at a CC since its alot cheaper, but high chances I will not be able to get in. So I am thinking about taking anatomy at my state college however thats gonna be 1k for that class. Its either do that or sit out this semester and work or study for my DAT. I really don't know what to do. What do you guys suggest?

a&p is really good class imo. Getting exposed to anatomy early will help you in the long run.

I agree that is important to check that the schools take the CC credits. most only accept four year schools.

The vast majority of schools do not require A & P, but some do. However, Its probably the best class to take that's not always a prereq.

A high DAT score would be more valuable than whatever a single A will boost your GPA. Figure out the requirements for the schools you want to go to. Take it if it's required, or if you have time, but make sure you get a solid DAT score.
