Hey everyone,

This is my first post, and I just wanted some personal opinions on what route you think would be best for me. I am graduating in May with a B.S in biology, and my GPA right now is a 3.0, which will be raised a little more by the time I graduate. My science GPA is low, mostly because I did terrible in general chemistry freshman year getting a D+ in gen chem 1 and 2. Other than that, I've done done decently, probably averaging around a 3.0 in other science classes. I haven't taken the MCATs yet and originally planned on taking them in the summer, but I may even hold off on that depending where I go after I graduate.

I looked on the forums, and it seems like my situation would lean towards doing a post-bac to raise my undergrad GPA, but I don't know if my grades are even competitive enough to gain admission into a decent program. If anyone has any opinion on what you think I should do, I would love to hear it. I know there are a good amount of threads on this general topic already, but I wanted some personal opinions for my own situation.

Thanks a lot!

Sadly, I'm in the same boat as you. So I'm kind of interested in what other people have to say. From what I've read, we should be reasonably competitive. It seems like there are a reasonable number of people who are just above 3.0 who have gotten into SMP programs.
