i am graduating soon and am a few classes short of most pre-reqs.
i was wondering if anyone had any advice about whether i should just take the classes at a community college/j.c or join a post-bac program.
the classes i need to take are Microbiology, Anatomy and Physiology.
i'm going to finish this march (and graduate/walk in june) and i have no idea when i want to start opt-school...

if you recommend the post-bac, do you have any suggestions about specific programs? i was looking at the san francisco state one.

any advice would be much appreciated....thanks in advance!

Some private post bac programs are really expensive (25k+). That's why I didn't do the private post bac program route.

What I did was enroll at my local state university for the classes I needed to take. In the beginning, it was a pain registering for classes because as a non-matriculated student, you're at the bottom of the priority queue. But, with planning and persistence, you can get into the classes you want. If you try, you might be able to get into the courses you want and pay in state tuition for them, which is nice. (I recommend asking the departmental offices how best to get into the courses you specifically want to get into. Sometimes you'll have to email your professor, or go to class on the first day and hope someone doesn't show up, etc.)

You might be able to take your 3 courses this way.

If you're planning on taking more courses, I would check for post bac programs in your state schools. (They're kinda hard to get into because public schools don't get much funding to support students who already have degrees to take classes, but it's possible.)

Good luck!
