I know this is a bit premature as I'm only a sophomore, but it occurred to me and there's a chance someone else may have the same question.

It seems like most people who do post-bacs have fine MCATs but low cGPAs or sGPAs. Is it acceptable or appropriate for someone with a fine(-ish) GPA to enter a post-bac program with the intent of increasing their GPA? For example, entering with a 3.65-3.75 intending to increase to 3.80 or so?

If so, which programs are best for this kind of student? (Or would attending a graduate school and getting a Master's or Ph.D before applying to medical school be a better idea?)

Thank you! :D

that's not what postbacs are for. They are either for non-science majors to take the prereqs or people that aren't qualified to improve their qualifications.

They might let you in, especially if you do it informally (enroll as a 2nd bac student), but I'm not sure why you'd want to.
