Post-Bacc Advice

Hi Everyone,

So I have been taking classes for a semester just to raise my gpa but now I'm thinking about going to another institution and actually starting a one-year post-bachelors accredited certificate program. This is about 3 to 4 quarters of work depending on how many classes you take and its targeted towards pre-health professions.
My concern is what if I end up getting in this year then would I be able to quit this program? #2 would it reflect badly if dental schools saw that I decided to do this? Would they think that I've given up for this year and just reject me and wait for my application for next year?

Thank you! 🙂

If you want to apply, then I think you should. If you do get into the post-bacc program, you won't start until this coming summer. By then if you get into dental school, you can decline the post-bacc program acceptance. Easy as that 🙂

If you're in California, I highly recommend to apply to SFSU dental post-bacc program.

Call the university at which your doing your program, and ask if they will allow you to do a leave of absence incase you get accepted later in the cycle. I'm sure they will allow it, but it doesn't hurt to be sure. 🙂
