so i'm applying this summer and i was looking at some of the secondaries. some of them ask you to put the courses you took and the grades you got on the pre-reqs. my pre-reqs SUCK but i've just completed two years of taking upper level biology courses and i've kicked a$$. i'm getting concerned that all the schools will see are these crappy pre-req courses i took 5 years ago and not my most recent work where i did really well.

anyone have any words of wisdom?

thank you.

Make sure your most recent performance is stressed in your LORs. Apply early when they can afford to take more time looking at your application.

I had a similar problem with mediocre ugrad performance, then applying 7 years later after Drexel MMS. My whole application "theme" was built around "that was me then, I've made some big improvements, this is me now", to include my personal statement, talking with my LOR writers, any applicable secondary essays, and in interviews (very important). Yeah, I didn't make it through a few pure number screens, but I eventally got multiple acceptances.

Good luck,
