Hello,

I'm a recent graduate from the University of Notre Dame with a Bachelor's degree in Economics and Political Science. My undergrad GPA was a 3.18 and I scored a 1420 on my SATs. I have extensive volunteer (various activities) and research work (in economics/statistics). I'm currently employed with a consulting firm and volunteering at a hospital on weekends.

However, I waded my way through college without a specific direction. Not until I began my hospital volunteer work have I ever been so motivated to join the medical community. I would like to attend med-school and understand that I will need to attend a postbacc pre med program. Furthermore, I also understand that I do not have the strongest GPA. What are my chances of acceptance into a top post-bacc program?

Hey! Fellow Domer Alum here! Definitely apply to wherever you like. People may not like it but an ND diploma carries a big weight and most post-baccs will definitely take a look at you. I personally did a 2 year post-bacc which helped with MCAT and a few requirements I needed but look into SMP or Master's programs. There are tons of post-bacc available for non-science majors trying to go to med school. Go to aamc.com and search for them there. Good luck!
