Hey everyone!
So I got waitlisted at one of the schools I was more confident about. I'm not completely denied, I still have a chance, but I want to plan ahead in case things don't pan out. My cGPA is a 3.5, sGPA is 3.4, and nsGPA is a 3.8. Is a post-bacc worth it for me? I was looking into MSU's Graduate Certificate in Medical Neuroscience, which is all online. This would allow me the flexibility to continue working, volunteering, and potentially studying for another MCAT, all while bolstering my GPA with new coursework.
Another question that arises then, is should I retake my MCAT? I got a 506, which isn't great but is still ~70th percentile. Should I focus on taking a post-bacc and worry more about my GPA? Or leave my GPA as is, and instead take a prep course for the MCAT and attempt to get into the 510 and above club?
Any advice would be very helpful. I really want to become a physician, and I know I can do it. My scores unfortunately don't reflect the amount of work I have put in, the desire I have to be a physician, and the fact that I know that if I become a physician I would be very good at it. I will do anything to achieve my dream.
Thank you in advance guys!
