Hello i am a senior from a college in Massachusetts expecting to graduate in may 2018. I took the Mcat (score 484) and applied for med-school in September 2017 and did not get accepted in any for the fall 2018 class. First two years in community college gpa 2.7 after 1 year at my current school as a junior when i applied for med school my gpa was 3.7. The AAMC combined both schools gpa's to get the cum gpa and it doped to 3.0. My cum gpa is expended to increase to a 3.2 after i graduate in may. Since i did not get accepted for these year, if i retake the Mcat in the summer and reapply i will still have to wait one year to get in to the Fall 2019 class and that is not for sure that i will get accepted for next year unless i score very good on the Mcat and i get lucky of the applications.
I am having a hard time to decide since i have got multiple suggestion like going for a post-bacc or maybe retake some of my science courses to increase the gpa. Some other suggestions to go for PA or nurse practitioner. Any suggestion on which of these options can be the best for me or any other suggestions as DO or podriatic or whatever medical field that is less competitive then the MD or any specific master or pharmaceutical program?

A few things that I'm curious about in order to get a better grasp on your application: Why did you apply with a 484? According to the stats that I have, no one or very few people get into MD granting institutions with a 484 and 3.0. I"m sure the statistics are just as bad for DO schools.

I think your GPA could use some work, but your MCAT is far to low to even be considered. Additionally what do your EC's look like? There's a lot that goes into an application, but right now your numbers, the most important part, need help.

Thanks for the reply.

My time was very limited and i rushed to get everything done by September 2017 in case if i got accepted i would have started med-school right after my graduation and wouldn't have lost a gap year.

I took The Mcat the last day on September 9th and i had to submit the application before getting the result from the test because it was to late and i applied last minute, did't do much research.

I did that in order to learn more on the processes while i was applying and hoping i would get an average score on the Mcat.

The EC's are good i have a couple of shadowing worked in a hospital in the chemistry lab and also worked as an assistant engineer for a couple of years.

Your MCAT is a non starter. You should focus on getting good grades for the rest of college.
You need to score 500+ closer to 505 to have a good chance at DO schools.

If you have the rest of your ducks in line , volunteering, clinical experience , DO letter. I would study for the mcat and take it and then apply DO.
