Post Bacc vs Undergrad

I was reading a short while ago here that while doing post bacc if you do your work hard enough you'll end up with atleast a B as there are no C's i don't know if this is true but can someone comment on this?

I don't know if its different at your school or what, but here at my school, you certainly can get C's. You can even get D's and F's.

Basically, if you get C's you are screwed. You really need A's.

I'm doing a post-bacc and it's the same grading as the undergrads. I had the highest grade in the class for Bio 121 and that was a B. The teacher was intense...

Barry University's program is EXTREMELY difficult.

although i've never heard of barry university, i'm sure their 2 year combined post bacc & masters program is challenging. but for the most part, it is my opinion that the majority of post-baccs inflate grades.

e.g., i had three pre-med friends at college who studied hard but got mostly Bs and Cs. they struck-out applying to med school so they all did a post-bacc at different programs. nobody had to break a sweat and the lowest GPA between the three of them was 3.8-something.

hey just wondering how you know this? Did you attend their biomedical sci program? I know they follow many of the classes you would take in 1st yr med/dental school. So I am assuming at any place it would be difficult but really depends upon the faculty there 😳

i think each program varies. we take our postbac courses with other undergrad students, so i would not consider it grade inflation.

I just got accepted to Barry's Master's in Biomedical Sciences 1-year accelerated option. It is basically the same didactic coursework for the first year of dental or medical school. Supposedly, 77% of their graduates are accepted into dental/medical schools the following year. It sounds like a solid program if you're willing to work. I just hope that's not the option I have to take (e.g. hopefully I can still get accepted to d-school this cycle.... and monkeys might fly out of my a$$!)
