Are post bacc programs basically just programs through colleges/universities that you go to if you want to go to med school but did not do the pre reqs in college?

I am seriously thinking about doing this. I figure I can just do my major in accounting. However, what about all the volunteer work, clinical experience, job, research and all the stuff you need to make an attractive app? Is it okay if all do all this crap in college, graduate, do the post bacc, hopefully finish with a high GPA and just apply to med school? Is it alright if I were to do things this way? Or is that not what people do?

Post-Bacc work can be used to describe any sort of graduate study, hence "Post-Baccalaureate". No, they aren't specifically designed for med school applicants...that very notion is quite ridiculous. I also doubt you wouldn't be able to find somewhere to fit in your pre-reqs as an undergrad; you're given electives for a reason.

If you don't get accepted anywhere during your first time applying, doing post-bacc work can help pad your GPA so you stand a better chance. It's okay if you do that, many choose to.

Also, stop asking the same question twice ("Is it okay if all do all this crap in college, graduate, do the post bacc, hopefully finish with a high GPA and just apply to med school? Is it alright if I were to do things this way?"), it makes you sound like that guy from Goodfellas.

it seems you find issues in everything you do or try to do . Perhaps you shouldn't over analyze everything and do your best ? You spend alot of time on here so why not take time to think stuff over and do your best at your grades , etc.
