Hello everyone!

I am mapping out how I should take my prerequisite classes for pharmacy school. I have a Bachelors and did decently as an undergrad, GPA was decent. I worked for a few years after undergrad (or a long time you can put it, >5 years) and now I want to return to get the PharmD degree at a pharmacy school.

My question is where did you all take your prerequisite classes for pharmacy school applications? Did you take it at a local community college?

And did any of you complete a post baccalaureate program? Thanks!

You don't need a postbacc for pharmacy. Save the money and take the pre-reqs at a community college.

Community courses are like 150-200$/credit. Super cheap. Anything you do with a postbacc will probably cost you like 5-6x as much. Totally not worth it for pharmacy pre-reqs. Do a DIY postbacc at a community college...basically just string together all the classes yourself...map out the semesters and register for these classes.

Kill your PCAT and no one will care where you did these classes.

Skip on pharmacy school. Accelerated BSN, then NP or PA. The pharmacy cow is drying up.

I have never heard of a post-bacc for pharmacy before this thread, no way would I waste money on such a thing.
