Hi guys

Can anyone give me some thoughts about post Dec 1 interview invites. I applied early (June) and pretty much didn't get any invites to USC, UOP, Boston, Temple, VCU and 1 rejection to ASDOH. My stats are all average (3.4 GPA, 20/20/20 DAT). My question is, are post Dec 1 invites common? Realistically is my application dead or is this still early in the game? Who thinks I should apply to an SMP! hahhah. thanks.

hmmm 3.4 with a 20... pretty average. you may want to apply to the SMP as backup. Its not too late to add more schools. I'd go ahead and send off apps to any schools that don't have supps that are still taking apps.

How strong is the rest of your app? dental experience?

i'm not very familiar with the schools you listed but schools have different interviewing schedules.. like some schools are booked til april right now so if you're waiting for those schools then that probably doesn't look very good.
but i heard usc does their interviews really late and don't feel up most of their class on dec 1st.

From what I know of UoP, it seems that they fill most of their class with pre-December 1st interviewers.

An AA of 20 is hardly "average'.

Hi! Don't give up. We have similar stats and I've gotten a few interviews. It might be your dental experience/ECs as someone said.

I applied to a lot of schools just to be safe, so you might want to, too.

Yea, I havent heard from any schools in the past 3 weeks. I think they are waiting till post Dec 1 to HOPEFULLY interview me with others with same stats as me. If you haven't been rejected outright, take that as a positive sign

The rest of my app seems fairly strong, 100 hours dental experience, chemistry tutoring, research.

Last year VCU handed invites out until Feb. at least not so sure about the other schools. I think you still have hope! Keep the faith!
