Hey everybody, first off I would like to congratulate everybody that has already been accepted and those who will be accepted tomorrow! You did it. The main reason for this post is unfortunately a little bit depressing. Despite being pretty competitive, I didn't receive any pre December interviews which obviously means no acceptances (not how I thought things would go down). So at this point I am wondering what comes next for me and others in my situation. Do schools immediately start sending out interviews again, or is it going to be a while before school activity starts back up. Do schools interview and accept relatively quickly after December 3rd? Thanks in advance for any advice. I'm going to start prepping for next cycle just to be safe. Good luck tomorrow everyone!

Hey I'm in the same situation as you with no interviews at this point. I'm guessing that after schools make their first wave of acceptances, a lot of spots will be open because ppl will be making their school choice within the first week or 2. I'd imagine sometime soon after that they will be sending out the next wave of interviews. I know exactly how u feel, I mean i dont have a 4.0/30AA but I'm a decently competitive student and thought this would have gone differently too. But I would just keep contacting schools if i were u, I know ppl who started last fall that got accepted in July and August (and I thought waiting til december 3rd was torture haha) so there's always a chance.

Good luck to you...I hope u and me and everyone else in our crappy situation sees some bright news soon or its gonna be a long winter haha.

Hey guys. I feel for you but remember that even though you spent the money and applied to a school isn't enough. Do everything withing your power to make sure they know how bad you want it, no matter how qualified you think you are or aren't. Make sure those who write your letters know this as well. Schools eat this up and love when you have fired up about becoming a dentist. If you want it bad enough you will make it happen!
