To lighten up the mood on SDN, I just wanted to say good luck to everyone this cycle!

Anyone traveling this summer? I'm a travel junkie and would love to hear where you are going. R&R is definitely something I'm sure we all deserve after submitting.

Haha I'm joking around. The waiting around sucks after you submit but this process is fun! Enjoy it.

Thanks! I am really excited at the prospect of seeing these dental schools and meeting other pre-dents. I was so adamant on submitting early June, not because I really cared about "batch number", but so I could take the rest of the summer off and ENJOY it. I would have hated to sit there all summer and think "I should really get to my application..."

Hopefully my travel really takes my mind off of it!

That's awesome! Which country/countries? For this summer, I am definitely going to Daytona Beach, and am trying my hardest to make it to San Fran to see some family members who moved there! Are you from CA?

I'm leaving on a mostly-unplanned road trip tomorrow! 🙂 I just noted all the scenic places in the southwest US and plan to spend a good 3 weeks sight-seeing and camping out.
I start dental school in August so this will probably be one of the longest vacations in the next decade to come.

Definitely planning a multi week Europe trip backpacking hostel hostel. Switzerland would be amazing! But its so expensive there! I stop for a couple days but most likely will be spending most of my time in Spain and Portugal.

I start dental school in August so this will probably be one of the longest vacations in the next decade to come.

I hope you are enjoying your trip! I am really hoping to do something similar to what you are doing next summer prior to a (hopeful) matriculation. I hope to hear about your trip!

Spain and Portugal are still awesome from what I have heard! I had friends actually do the Camina de Santiago in Spain and they apparently loved it! Definitely a little different from the normal 'tourist' trip to that area!

I am going to Europe for 6 weeks. I am leaving June 19th. I am going to Naples, Florence, Munich, Salzburg, Vienna, Prague, Karlov Vary, Cesky Krumlov, Dresden, Berlin, and Hamburg. I cannot wait!

Switzerland is not too bad. People exaggerate. You should check out Interlaken, I spent four nights there two years ago. Most beautiful place I have been. Hostel was under 30 bucks a night I believe and food was around $10 or less, you can also cook for yourself to save money.
