Post-Graduation Plans

The Japan offer sounds fantastic! As you note, it is mostly for "personal growth" -- but please don't underestimate the value of personal growth.

When are you planning on applying to med school? Would you be in Japan when interviews could potentially come up? That would make it tough and expensive— just food for thought.

Think about which oppurtunity will provide you with the most oppurtunity and ultimately make you the happiest 🙂

I got an affordable offer to study abroad while performing research at a medical school for 6 months in Japan and the program starts soon.

I'm all for taking personal time to develop, but starting soon implies that you'd be in Japan at least until September. I'd make you sure have all your ducks in a row in order to apply on time this coming cycle.
