Is there an increased post II acceptance rate for URMs or is it equal among all applicants at this point. Like when Adcoms meet to discuss acceptance/rejection decisions, does ones URM status/experience ever come up?

I know USNWR data breaks this out, so if you find someone who has a subscription or want to buy it yourself you can probably find this data

First question is maybe possible to answer with enough data. Second question will be highly dependent on the school and their process.

In these meetings at my school, we are not allowed to discuss ethnicity by our Admissions Dean.

Are you URM?

Yes. I know it definitely helps in the admissions process but I didn’t know where exactly it comes to play and if these things are even discussed in meetings.

To my knowledge, USNWR has a breakdown based on "minority applicants" but I think it also includes Asian applicants. I don't think they have data specifically for URMs.

Fair point, you're probably right

It'll vary by the school but some places definitely treat URM as an entirely separate pool that is only in competition with itself, and your odds of an A or getting pulled from waitlist will all be relative to the number of other URMs they prefer to you or that turn down their offer in that year.

As an example, the year I applied, there was a URM applicant that got waitlisted. Later on in spring the URM applicant not only got admitted but offered a large recruitment scholarship. So being URM didn't mean they were a shoo in admit, but kept them in a small separate group that was extremely advantageous once the school saw most of their admitted URMs were matriculating elsewhere. So being URM can still be very influential on your final outcome after interviews but it's not always so straightforward as higher post II admit rate.
