Anyone received any communication (letter, email, phone call) from a program after the interview?

I've gotten a few letters, no phone calls, although I've made a few😀

Same here. A couple of letters, an email or two...zero phone calls. I'm not sure I can stand this for six more weeks!

Tally Ho! I'm in with emails and a few letters. One program director said that they would be calling the 2nd week of Feb. to either let you know that they aren't ranking or are ranking candidates.

Just so you all know, alot of programs (including mine) do not send out e-mails or make calls after the interview. It's not because of lack of interest...it's so you can make your own decision without being bombarded by propaganda. Go with your gut feeling, not because you got a letter:horns:

Ditto. My program communicates very little with applicants and is very vague, probably for the same reasons. They do send out a "thanks for interviewing letter."

To tell you the truth I don't like the phone calls. They can catch you at a bad time(one was right as a got home from a run, the other was in the middle of American Idol🙂. Sometimes its a little akward if it is not a program you plan on ranking highly to make up some questions on the fly and not feel like a hippocrit when you express your interest and say "I haven't put my rank list together yet, etc." I think that if an applicant is really interested or has questions they will initiate the communication themselves. I prefer letters or no contact myself.

Received 2 letters (Highland and CWRU/Metro) and no e-mails - haven't sent any e-mails out yet though. Planning to send out a bunch this week...

😱

For me, part of the whole "contact the program" issue is that at least I'm doing SOMETHING rather than waiting for six more weeks.

I took a road trip down to my #1 choice and had a brief meeting with the PD there. It was a good meeting and I got some positive (albeit euphemistic) feedback. For programs 2-5, I've sent emails stating that I plan on ranking these places "very highly". For 6-10, I'll probably send emails with a slightly lower key theme. One of the PD's responded to my email with a one-liner..."we like you, hope to see you...," etc., etc. Hard to know how to read that. Hope everyone here gets their no.1 choice!

That's about what I'm doing. I dropped by my #1 while in town, and am planning on sending emails to the rest of the top 5 to express interest saying they'd be ranked highly.

I never sent ANY thank you notes to programs before now, so I guess it really isn't necessary. I think anywhere you really liked knows you'd fit in, since these seem to be the programs I'm hearing from.
