Post-Interview Communication

Just wondering how common post-interview communication from PD is? I have not received any but have some friends that have, just curious if it is infrequent or if I should become more neurotic.

Only from 1 program; I heard from PD and a resident that I met but am pretty sure they reach out to a bunch of people.

I would stop thinking about it and factoring it into basically anything e.g. your "chances of matching" or your rank list, with the exception for if you get a personalized email saying something along the lines of "you are ranked to match." That usually happens later though.

I think it was 50/50 for me, but it means absolutely nothing. Some PD's have a rule not to email, some are just too busy, and others try to play the game by emailing you and getting you to rank them highly. Just ignore it all.
