Does everyone's Brigham letter say they "definitely intend to rank you highly on our match list?"

Anyone receive post-interview feedback from UNC or Florida?

Got the same letter from BWH. Did everyone get an email from the chair of UCSF?
WashU PD sent an email today saying I was fit for their program and they hope I consider them.
Anyone hear anything from UTSW or Baylor?
Phone call for PD and Chairman at Brigham over the last 2 wks and phone call from Hopkins PD this week.
Hopefully ppl are not changing their ROLs based on these...
Lucky! What did the Hopkins PD say?
I got the UCSF email and yes it seems that it at least somewhat selective as my friend made no mention of it, although the text itself seemed rather generic. Got a nice email from Penn too and an update from BIDMC. No phone calls.

I could see how a personal phone call could make you feel unique, perhaps to the extent that you'd talk yourself into thinking you are truly ranked at the top of the programs rank list. I'm sure that's why programs do it and I imagine a fair number of people do indeed change their ROL based on these phone calls.
Got a call from Stanford PD and another email of interest from Hopkins. I do agree with Kazuyma, becuase I'll admit that the slew of luck I have come across has influenced me to rank Hopkins #1, for example

Email of interest from Hopkins? What did it say? "We are interested in you"?
Someone from Hopkins called me today. 48 hrs before the deadline.
ditto
It must suck for the programs not having much control except for love notes and phone calls.
ditto
Did you also get an email? or just a call?

Generic email (as Waveequation quoted) and a call yesterday
Me too...
UCSF I think sent out 2 different emails. One from the chair that appears to be selective, and one from the PD that looks like it might be to everybody? Can anyone confirm or deny this?
Did you also receive the most recent email from Hopkins? or just the call?

Call. what about you...and what did the recent email say?
Nothing. I was just wondering if you also got an email saying "You will be ranked highly". That is what WaveEquation said he got... Did you get that and the call? or just the post-interview email and the call. I've heard that they are not sending that "Ranking you highly" email this year and just doing the calls. Do you think that is the case?
No, I didn't get the "ranking you highly" e-mail...I just got the post-interview "based on the quality of your interview and application, we will be ranking you on our list" e-mail sent the same day as the interview. To me it didn't mean that much since that meant I could be #1 or #130 on their list. Maybe they only dropped the bottom 20 of 150.
Anybody get a love letter from the AMA?
Yes. I appreciate the personalized, hand-written message on the back of the envelope. 😍Anybody get a love letter from the AMA?

The AMA sent out this letter wishing a successful match, came from Chicago, false alarm since I thought it was from an actual program.
That is the exact letter I speak of... Someone hand-wrote "Good Luck in the Upcoming match" on my envelope. Nice touch. Made me want to donate to the AMA... evil geniuses!
Anyone hear from SLU? VCU? Anything else from Baystate besides the generic "you're a very competitive applicant"? ... yeah... competitive.. 🙄![]()
Nothing from either SLU or VCU. I just remember the PD at SLU telling me he'd give me the job the day I interviewed if he wouldn't lose his job. It made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside until I several of my buddies mentioned he said the same thing during their interviews.![]()
Perhaps he couldn't resist and did end up losing his job because there is an Classified Ad in the back of February's Anesthesiology pg 36A. Apparently SLU is actively looking for a new program director for the department of anesthesiology and critical care. I wonder what really happened, he seemed like a really personal guy and a good resident advocate.
