since the turnaround time for decisions in pod. schools is relatively short, would a thank-you email be sufficient for your interviewer or would a card/letter by snailmail still be ok to send?...just had my interview at school ___ and would like to keep our conversation fresh in the interviewers mind until he presents to the adcom.
As a followup, would additional questions to the interviewer about the program via email also be a good alternative to the above...less brownnosing-ish???

definitely just some more questions. a thank you would really sound brown-noseish. where did you apply? they haven't told you anything yet?

send an email thanking them for the opportunity to interview.......or if you're not comfortable ask a few relatively frequently asked questions and end the email with a thank you for the interview (just throw it in)

this idea sounds good. ask a question like when will the acceptances be sent out and how will they contact you. end the e-mail with a thank you for their time, help, and the opportunity to interview there. simple but not too "fake". because the bottom line is a lot of people will do it not out of courtesy but out of trying to get ahead. put yourself in their shoes. if you had something other people wanted and only had a limited number, everyone is gonna be your "friend". i know you are not just thanking them to get ahead but just be careful. my brother applied and interviewed at a dental school and they told him that was "pushy" and "fake" but he wasn't he has a really out going friendly personality and i believe they saw it as fake.

I'll withold the name of the school until I get a reply but basically, as I called the office to get the email address of the interviewer, ( the secretary put me on holed and called him up to get it from him), she said that it would be a good idea to just speak with him since he was in the office...(interesting)...I did have a substantive question which I actually did forget to ask during the interview so I picked his brain a bit and he didn't seem to mind...a simple thank you at the end and that was that....he did remember me...so...fingers crossed!

hey sometimes you gotta be spontaneous right?

p.s. it is not OCPM b/c their dean is a woman lol... goodluck
