Good evening everyone. Just wondering if anyone else received a letter from Mayo after their interview and if you can share what the letter says. Also did anyone NOT get a letter or some other form of communication (eg phone call)? I received my letter roughly one week after my interview. Just wondering if this is something worth being excited over. Thanks.

I received one and it was somewhat personal, mentioning topics discussed during my interviews. I thought it was also very thoughtful and ended letting me know that after discussion, I was liked by my interviewers and it was agreed that I would receive the best training if I decided to choose Mayo ( rochester). I didn't read too much into it though. Hope this helps.

Lots of other posts on this subject. Yeah the letters make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside, like a nice glass of scotch. But they mean nothing. Don't think about them, don't expect them, and for the Man Upstair's sake, don't alter your rank list because of them. You are almost done with med school, which implies you are smart. Not following the above = not smart.
