I guess I had a pretty good season. I think it was my interviewing skills that did the trick (Because my stats were average and my EC's were probably sub-par)

Thanks Elmo.

This thread gives me a lot of hope, because for every student with 5 acceptances, that means 4 more seats will open up for the rest of us on May 15.

I've got my fingers crossed for everyone on here who hasn't gotten their first choice, and for the silent majority of people who are waiting for their first acceptance.

Good luck everyone!

hey guys, I know a lot of people apply to around 15-20 schools, and yet most people here seem to be complete to only about 5-8 schools. Why is that?

They're referring to the number of interviews they've completed.

Update:

MD/PhD interviews

Completed: 7
Accept: 3
Waitlist: 2
Reject: 2

Accepted to one school as 'backup.' Other two acceptances are more prestigious schools than the 2 rejections. Waitlists are in-between. I don't understand this process...

Sorry to hijack, but, how long do AdComs usually take to give you a decision after the interview? I bet it made you more anxious then waiting for MCAT scores

In my experience it varied from a week to 5 months, it just depends on the school.

You are my twin! I was too embarassed/depressed to actually type mine out, haha. Hey best of luck to you fellow post-interview twin. Hope you get in to your top choice w/ a hefty little bonus on the side :laugh:

:luck::xf::luck:

Based on the limited responses thus far, it seems that people went on far fewer interviews this season than in the last 2 years...I recall lots of people attending 12 or more interviews last year (at least I think I do)...

Did people go to fewer interviews this year because of the economic downturn?
