Based on the limited responses thus far, it seems that people went on far fewer interviews this season than in the last 2 years...I recall lots of people attending 12 or more interviews last year (at least I think I do)...

Did people go to fewer interviews this year because of the economic downturn?

12 interviews is a lot for any cycle, but yeah finances probably played a factor in declining interviews this year.

Plus, the whole game changes once you have your first acceptance. There's no need to go on every single interview, only if you could conceivably envision yourself going there above your accepted school.

I really enjoyed the traveling around the country and interviewing, just wishing I could go back and redo some of those interviews. Nerves made me stick my foot in my mouth at my first choice school, while I was accepted at schools where I went in knowing nothing and just being relaxed.

12 interviews... that is a lot. how many schools did you all apply to if you don't mind?

I was complete at 12 schools. Still ended up spending an s load of money.

I'm ranked under 15 on one of my waitlists though so hoping it'll turn into an acceptance.....

When do people with multiple acceptances start withdrawing? Is it close to that May 15th date I've heard at most schools?

i wish you luck! i was also surprised to find out that there are other people who had multiple interviews but no acceptances yet. i thought i was just weird/unlucky/bad at interviewing.

..expenses actually weren't that bad..managed to drive to a lot of interviews and use miles on the others..never paid for a hotel (stayed with current students)..but still probably cost more than I would have liked it to..all in all, I had a blast at the interviews, so it was probably worth it.
