post interview thank you cards

Should I send a nice email or an actual card to my each of interviewers?
Or just one card to the admissions office as a thanks for everything?

I know they say 'thank you card'... but personally, I wrote a short note on regular computer paper, typed up on word addressed as a business letter and sent it to the schools. Doesn't look cheesy and not as informal and simple as an email. It shows invested time rather than an afterthought IMO.

I sent one to the admissions office and one to each of my interviewers.
